How We Align with HIPPY
Every HIPPY packet already covers five areas: language, literacy, math, science, and motor development. Social-emotional learning is not one of them. Team Supercrew adds that missing piece using the same book-and-activity format families already know, making it a natural addition rather than a new format to learn.
Aligning with HIPPY's Essential Features
- Curriculum: Follows the same book-and-activity format families already know, adding a social-emotional layer that HIPPY's core curriculum does not include.
- Role Play: Plush characters and the SOS Kit give parents and home visitors a built-in way to role play feelings and calming strategies together.
- Home Visits and Group Meetings: Best introduced during group meetings, where there is more flexibility than the five-activity home visit; the Feelings and Calm Down Charts also travel well into one-on-one visits.
- Parent as Child's First Teacher: Family Kits leave parents with simple tools to keep building emotional skills with their child between visits.
Because each individual home visit is already built around five required activities, most home visitors find group meetings the more natural place to introduce Team Supercrew. Group meetings bring multiple families together periodically alongside the weekly one-on-one visits, giving more flexibility to add a shared story, activity, or discussion without competing for time in the core visit.
Team Supercrew materials are designed for children ages 2 and up, aligning closely with HIPPY's four curricula for ages 2 through 5.
