How It Helps
Fewer tantrums and meltdowns → when kids learn to understand and manage their emotions, they build confidence to express themselves in healthy ways.
Lessons that really stick → research shows that kids are up to 20 times more likely to remember information when learned through story.
Stronger family connections → experts have found that kids who build emotional regulation skills early develop better relationships with parents, siblings, and friends.
What changes can I expect to see in my child?
Week 1
With daily exposure to the stories and open conversations about feelings, you may notice your child using more emotional words like “I feel mad,” “sad,” or “scared.” This growing vocabulary helps them start recognizing and expressing emotions.
Month 1
By the end of the first month, many children become more aware of how feelings show up in their bodies—like a tight tummy when nervous or warm cheeks when excited. You might also see them reaching out for support when they need help managing big emotions.
Month 3
After a few months, many families notice fewer and shorter tantrums. As children learn to name their feelings and use calming strategies, they begin to pause before reacting and ask for help when they need it.
The Research Behind Team Supercrew
At Team Supercrew, every story, tool, and strategy is grounded in evidence-based research. Decades of studies show that helping kids understand and manage their emotions early in life supports long-term success—socially, academically, and even physically.
“My son is almost 3 and asks to read these over and over, he loves them already and I think they are helping him make better choices.”
We got these books a couple days ago, and we have already read them multiple times every single day. The books are really good quality, the drawings are super cute and colorful, and they go really quickly since there is not a ton of words on each page. My kids are 3 and 4, and I love that these books give us words and concepts to better describe some hard emotions.
I got the Team Supercrew for my three-year-old son, and he has been obsessed with these four books and characters. His favorite is Keisha the Kind in My Little Sister Situation, which is so relatable since he has a new little brother at home. As a mom, I really like that there is a grown-up prompt in the front and superhero skills by age in the back. I think it will really help regulate his emotions, especially since he is at that age where emotions are very big right now.
My kids absolutely love these books! Each story is packed with adventure and humour, but also teaches simple ways to handle tough emotions. I noticed my pre-schooler actually using the breathing and bravery tricks from the stories during daily challenges. It's such a creative way to teach emotional regulation without feeling like a lesson.
These books actually work. As a parent, I have read plenty of emotional learning titles that felt like fluffâ this set is different. Team Supercrew delivers fun, adventure, and real tools for handling anxiety, transitions, and tough moments. My kids ask for them nightly, and the messages stick ."I can't" turned into "I did it!" this week, and I owe it to Gen the Grit. The fact that these are rooted in CBT, but told through engaging stories? Genius. This isn't just storytime, it's emotional skill-building disguised as fun.
Less than 24 hours of owning it and we’ve already ordered the second set. My son loves it and was engaged from the jump! Loves the flowers and candle technique.
My daughter has wanted to read these every night before bed since we've received them! We've also noticed that she is getting better at verbalizing her feelings. These have been fantastic to teach about big emotions!
My granddaughter is obsessed with these books. Whenever she is frustrated we read one to give us guidance. She requests them to be read on a daily basis
I love these books. They are so adorable and easy to read. They are colorful and imaginative but most importantly they have easy to understand concepts. The tips and tricks in the back of the book is also extremely helpful for parents and kids to help regulate emotions.
This is a great set of books for young children learning about emotions and how to regulate them. The stories are fun and engaging. The strategies taught are realistic and helpful. These books are great for kids and parents alike!
My almost four year old daughter loves them! They are so cute and they have great messages about reframing, growth mindset, and role modeling. She has a lot of books, but keeps going back to them.
I got this Team Supercrew box set for my daughter who is almost four, and she really enjoyed these books. She was able to relate to the first day jitters about being nervous, not knowing anyone, and having to make new friends. I definitely know she is learning from them, and she even asked to bring them into class to share with her friends. I really like how they incorporate being brave and kindness, and it is all very cute.
Talking about emotions is really hard, but I found it so much easier with this bundle. It does so well because it will say things like, "I'm frustrated because," and then on the next page it will say, "What if?" and give a positive to that frustration. We have really been implementing that in our lives, and my 10-year-old and six-year-old boys are both getting so much out of these. They also have really great techniques on how to calm down and how to get in touch with your feelings by using simple techniques that really work for my kids! And their techniques are fun and creative!
My daughter and I have been reading Team Supercrew. She's about eight years old and has learned a lot about kindness, being brave, and how to stay calm through these books. I really think that they will help her through this year with swimming. The illustrations are beautiful.
You get four books in this set, and they are about the same size as a board book so they do not take up too much shelf space. The images are really cute and engaging, and there are not too many words, so they are easy to read to your kid at night. They cover things like having grit, handling bedtime, teaching kindness, and not being scared of school. It is just a really cute way of showing little kids how to handle their emotions.
I got these Team Supercrew books for my son and he really loves them and requests them over and over again at bedtime. The characters and scenarios are really relatable. I love the tips at the back of each book for different age ranges.
My kids, ages 3 and 5, really love the superheroes and these are their favorite books right now. When they have been struggling with big emotions, they talk about the superheroes and figure out how to implement what they learned. The inside has really beautiful illustrations, the font is easy to read, and each book has a nice note to grown-ups in the beginning.
I was looking for books to help my granddaughter to understand her strong emotions. She is I feisty and sensitive four year old. I don’t feel your books are helpful saying very little about the emotions or what to do with them only offering bypass solutions to find ways to be calm and strong. Could be useful in a way but not what I am looking for. I have sent them back to sender.

Hi Marianne,
Thank you for taking the time to share this, and for looking for ways to help your granddaughter with her big feelings. A feisty, sensitive four-year-old is lucky to have a grandparent who cares this much.
We wrote the Emotions and Powers books with the developmental stage of children ages 2 to 8 in mind. At this age, kids learn best through story and play, and they have wonderful imaginations. That’s why each book follows a storyline children can relate to, with characters they can see themselves in. When kids feel invested in a story, they’re much more open to the deeper ideas of emotional learning, like noticing what they feel and knowing what to do next.
We also include strategies at the end of each book for caregivers and children to practice together. A book filled only with strategies can be hard for young children to connect with, so we lead with the story and let the tools follow.
We’re sorry the books weren’t the right fit for what you were looking for. If it would help, we’d be glad to share a few ideas or point you toward resources for supporting your granddaughter. Just reach out to us anytime.
Warmly,
Team Supercrew
These books are a great way to explain to kids on their level feelings they may have. The tips in the back of each book are great! I really hope more books are made about other types of feelings.
A fun way to learn about emotions. The character design is very thoughtful and racial inclusive, wording can be a little hard depending on the age. But learning through day to day scenarios is very helpful.
My daughters are obsessed with books so these were a great addition to our book collection. We are currently trying to get them to understand their emotions and how to express them. These helped tremendously.
This set of four Team Supercrew books offers a sweet, engaging way to help children explore their emotions. The colorful illustrations and relatable stories make it easier to start conversations about feelings, confidence, and kindness. I especially appreciate the positive message that all feelings are okay—it’s how we respond to them that matters. A lovely set to read together and use as a starting point for meaningful conversations with little ones!
My grandson is 3 and keeps asking us to read these books over and over. He loves them and hopefully they will help navigate his big feelings. We just gave them to him Friday and he keeps reaching for them so we can read them!
My 3 year old granddaughter loves these books! We are enjoying reading them to her! The stories are so helpful when dealing with certain situations a child may encounter. Highly recommend!
This box set is a wonderful collection for helping young children understand and manage their emotions. The stories are engaging, age-appropriate, and introduce important social-emotional skills in a fun and gentle way.
I like how the books encourage confidence, empathy, and healthy ways to handle big feelings. The CBT-inspired approach makes the lessons practical without feeling heavy or complicated. A great resource for parents, teachers, and caregivers who want to support emotional learning in kids.
As a parent, I’m always looking for ways to help my kids process their big feelings, and this Team Supercrew set is genuinely a miracle worker. By framing emotions as "powers," the books take the fear and shame out of having a meltdown and turn it into something a child can actually manage and understand.
The CBT-inspired approach is brilliant—it’s subtle enough that the kids just think they’re reading fun superhero stories, but effective enough that I’ve already noticed them using the coping strategies when they get frustrated. The characters are relatable, the illustrations are engaging, and the lessons are perfectly paced for the 2–8 age range. It’s rare to find books that are this educational while remaining so genuinely entertaining.
This book will show your children how to recognize their emotions & use coping mechanisms to rein them in. How to be brave when they’re scared. How to feel frustrated with a situation but ask yourself “what if” questions & always be kind. How to recognize anger & find calmness. And how to conquer nervousness by having grit & refusing to give up. Team Supercrew books are great tools for your child to conquer a plethora of issues. Happy learning!
Team Supercrew books and products are designed for kids ages 2–8 and grow with your child every step of the way. It’s playful, age-appropriate learning backed by child development experts (and loved by parents, too).

Every child’s learning style and strengths are unique. However, with consistent exposure through reading, play, and conversation, parents can generally expect:
Within days - Increased emotional vocabulary and the ability to recognize emotions in others.

What’s the best way to use Team Supercrew at home?
Team Supercrew products support emotional growth in different, complementary ways.
Books – Read together during calm moments like bedtime or quiet playtime. Talk about the feelings and choices the characters make and connect them to your child’s day. Rereading helps kids remember emotion words and feel more comfortable expressing themselves.
Plush and Capes – After reading, let your child bring the stories to life through play. Acting out emotions helps them practice what they’ve learned and see that all feelings are okay. Play gives children a safe space to try calming and problem-solving skills.
SOS Kit – During big feelings, use the SOS Kit together. The cards and tools offer gentle guidance for calming strategies like breathing, movement, or sensory grounding. These moments teach children that emotions can be managed and that they’re not alone when things feel big.
Does Team Supercrew support children who are neurodivergent, including those with ADHD or autism?
Yes, Team Supercrew products support children with ADHD, autism, and other unique learning needs. Every child has their own way of learning, and our books are built around modeling - where children learn emotional regulation skills by watching others use them. This approach can be especially powerful for children who benefit from visual and story-based learning.
Our Team Supercrew SOS Kit offers a more direct way to build these skills, helping a trusted adult guide a child through calming strategies in real time. Many families find that combining both modeled and hands-on teaching works best.
