This kit is such a smart, fun way to teach kids about emotions. The cards grow with different ages, making it easy for toddlers and older kids alike. I loved seeing how playful activities like breathing games and feeling faces card actually helped my grandson calm down. A great resource!
My granddaughter really loves the books, and was so excited and happy to receive Chloe plush doll. She absolutely loves her, and it has really helped her with when she feels upset. Thank you for such a wonderful way to teach her these important lessons.

Thanks Sue. So happy to hear your granddaughters love Team Supercrew! Our next four books in the series have launched!
This collection of children’s books is amazing! Wow!🤩 Each page is so colorful and uniquely designed. The stories within tell about, Whether it’s going to school for the first time, or dealing with a younger sibling, finding it frustrating at bedtime or facing their fears, your young child will love these books!
This is a great resource for parents, daycare providers, grandparents, elementary teachers, and more, of toddlers through school age children. Choose the child's age, look for the behavior, and then help the child work through their emotions by following the steps on the card.
These cards are such a great idea! The parental guide at the beginning is very helpful in explaining that the strategies should be discussed and practiced while calm, and then applied when "big feelings" emerge. The activities seem age appropriate.
I am highly impressed by this product. There are 20 cards for each age set (2-year-olds, 3-4-year-olds, 5-6-year-olds, and 7-8-year-olds). Basically you grab a card (from their age range) when your kid is freaking out about something and try this technique to calm them. They learn to recognize their emotions, and you both learn age-appropriate techniques (that work) to return to a more stable mindset. It's great for emotional intelligence and learning to self-regulate. If you read social-emotional or mental health books for kids, you've likely heard of some of these ideas, but many were new to me. You don't need any items to do 99% of these activities. Highly recommended!
As a parent of a 6-year-old with a very expressive personality, I’m always looking for tools that don’t just talk at kids, but talk to them and this book nails it.
Team Supercrew SOS Kit is colorful, imaginative, and filled with relatable characters and scenarios that help kids understand what’s going on inside when emotions get overwhelming. What’s even better is that the book offers actual tools, like calming strategies and easy-to-follow exercises, but presents them through fun superhero-like language that clicks with younger readers.
We’ve used it during a few “meltdown moments,” and my son now refers to his feelings as if they’re members of a team he can work with. It’s honestly amazing to see that kind of shift. This book doesn’t preach or overwhelm — it empowers.
If your child sometimes struggles with anger, anxiety, or just big feelings in general, this is a fantastic resource. It’s become one of those books we keep within reach, and I can see it growing with us over the next few years.
Highly recommended for parents, therapists, and teachers looking to bring emotional regulation to life in a way kids will actually enjoy.
My kids absolutely love these books! Each story is packed with adventure and humour, but also teaches simple ways to handle tough emotions. I noticed my pre-schooler actually using the breathing and bravery tricks from the stories during daily challenges. It's such a creative way to teach emotional regulation without feeling like a lesson.
These books actually work. As a parent, I have read plenty of emotional learning titles that felt like fluffâ this set is different. Team Supercrew delivers fun, adventure, and real tools for handling anxiety, transitions, and tough moments. My kids ask for them nightly, and the messages stick ."I can't" turned into "I did it!" this week, and I owe it to Gen the Grit. The fact that these are rooted in CBT, but told through engaging stories? Genius. This isn't just storytime, it's emotional skill-building disguised as fun.
My daughter has wanted to read these every night before bed since we've received them! We've also noticed that she is getting better at verbalizing her feelings. These have been fantastic to teach about big emotions!
My granddaughter is obsessed with these books. Whenever she is frustrated we read one to give us guidance. She requests them to be read on a daily basis
My almost four year old daughter loves them! They are so cute and they have great messages about reframing, growth mindset, and role modeling. She has a lot of books, but keeps going back to them.
Less than 24 hours of owning it and we’ve already ordered the second set. My son loves it and was engaged from the jump! Loves the flowers and candle technique.
I love these books. They are so adorable and easy to read. They are colorful and imaginative but most importantly they have easy to understand concepts. The tips and tricks in the back of the book is also extremely helpful for parents and kids to help regulate emotions.
My son loves superheroes and imitating them specifically fighting and beating up bad guys. How refreshing to have a superhero that looks kind of like him that he brings everywhere we go that is a reminder to be brave and kind.
I'm a preschool teacher and parent, and these cards are a game changer. The kids love picking a card when they feel frustrated or overwhelmed. The illustrations are adorable, and the directions are super clear. It's amazing to see them learn real emotional skills through play.
What a creative way to handle unrest in young children. I like the fact that solutions center around identifying a feeling, some activity which is fun, but is aligned with the emotion. Lastly, support from the parent to encourage the newly aligned behavior. I wish i had this kit when my kids were young!
These cards make it easier for children to recognize and manage their emotions in a calm and structured way. The four-step process of naming, understanding, regulating, and checking in works well and is simple to remember. I appreciated the variety of prompts, from breathing and relaxation exercises to short reflection activities. The design feels intentional and supportive, making it a practical resource for parents and teachers who want to help kids build emotional awareness.
Bought these books because our 4 yr old son was having issues with expressing himself and regulating his emotions. After reading the books about 3 times, I noticed my son now tries to take deep breaths like Chloe the Calm taught him whenever he is upset. We also noticed him starting to express himself and tell us why he doesn't want to do certain things, instead of lying or getting upset. He used to lie about his bones being broken whenever it was time for bed. He recently told me he doesn't like to go to bed because he is scared of the dark (even though he sleeps in my room). These books have really caused a change in him. We recently signed him up for soccer and I'm hoping he'll remember that Genji taught him about grit and never giving up. I believe these books are a must have in every kids collection. They're so simple, but sometimes simplicity is all that is needed with kids.
This set of four Team Supercrew books offers a sweet, engaging way to help children explore their emotions. The colorful illustrations and relatable stories make it easier to start conversations about feelings, confidence, and kindness. I especially appreciate the positive message that all feelings are okay—it’s how we respond to them that matters. A lovely set to read together and use as a starting point for meaningful conversations with little ones!
My grandson is 3 and keeps asking us to read these books over and over. He loves them and hopefully they will help navigate his big feelings. We just gave them to him Friday and he keeps reaching for them so we can read them!
My 3 year old granddaughter loves these books! We are enjoying reading them to her! The stories are so helpful when dealing with certain situations a child may encounter. Highly recommend!
This box set is a wonderful collection for helping young children understand and manage their emotions. The stories are engaging, age-appropriate, and introduce important social-emotional skills in a fun and gentle way.
I like how the books encourage confidence, empathy, and healthy ways to handle big feelings. The CBT-inspired approach makes the lessons practical without feeling heavy or complicated. A great resource for parents, teachers, and caregivers who want to support emotional learning in kids.
As a parent, I’m always looking for ways to help my kids process their big feelings, and this Team Supercrew set is genuinely a miracle worker. By framing emotions as "powers," the books take the fear and shame out of having a meltdown and turn it into something a child can actually manage and understand.
The CBT-inspired approach is brilliant—it’s subtle enough that the kids just think they’re reading fun superhero stories, but effective enough that I’ve already noticed them using the coping strategies when they get frustrated. The characters are relatable, the illustrations are engaging, and the lessons are perfectly paced for the 2–8 age range. It’s rare to find books that are this educational while remaining so genuinely entertaining.
This book will show your children how to recognize their emotions & use coping mechanisms to rein them in. How to be brave when they’re scared. How to feel frustrated with a situation but ask yourself “what if” questions & always be kind. How to recognize anger & find calmness. And how to conquer nervousness by having grit & refusing to give up. Team Supercrew books are great tools for your child to conquer a plethora of issues. Happy learning!
Team Supercrew- Emotions and Powers – 4 book box set. Social emotional learning fro kids ages 2 – 8. CBT inspired stories to build confidence and manage emotions, by Julie Anne Penn. I love the colorful layout and appearance of each page. So easy to flip through. The characters are memorable.

Every child’s learning style and strengths are unique. However, with consistent exposure through reading, play, and conversation, parents can generally expect:
Within days - Increased emotional vocabulary and the ability to recognize emotions in others.
Within weeks - Greater awareness of their emotions and body signals, and a growing ability to ask for help when they need support.
Within months - Fewer tantrums and more use of coping strategies as they learn to pause before reacting.
What’s the best way to use Team Supercrew at home?
Team Supercrew products support emotional growth in different, complementary ways.
Books – Read together during calm moments like bedtime or quiet playtime. Talk about the feelings and choices the characters make and connect them to your child’s day. Rereading helps kids remember emotion words and feel more comfortable expressing themselves.
Plush and Capes – After reading, let your child bring the stories to life through play. Acting out emotions helps them practice what they’ve learned and see that all feelings are okay. Play gives children a safe space to try calming and problem-solving skills.
SOS Kit – During big feelings, use the SOS Kit together. The cards and tools offer gentle guidance for calming strategies like breathing, movement, or sensory grounding. These moments teach children that emotions can be managed and that they’re not alone when things feel big.
Does Team Supercrew support children who are neurodivergent, including those with ADHD or autism?
Yes, Team Supercrew products support children with ADHD, autism, and other unique learning needs. Every child has their own way of learning, and our books are built around modeling - where children learn emotional regulation skills by watching others use them. This approach can be especially powerful for children who benefit from visual and story-based learning.
