How It Helps
Fewer tantrums and meltdowns → when kids learn to understand and manage their emotions, they build confidence to express themselves in healthy ways.
Lessons that really stick → research shows that kids are up to 20 times more likely to remember information when learned through story.
Stronger family connections → experts have found that kids who build emotional regulation skills early develop better relationships with parents, siblings, and friends.
What changes can I expect to see in my child?
Week 1
With daily exposure to the stories and open conversations about feelings, you may notice your child using more emotional words like “I feel mad,” “sad,” or “scared.” This growing vocabulary helps them start recognizing and expressing emotions.
Month 1
By the end of the first month, many children become more aware of how feelings show up in their bodies, like a tight tummy when nervous or warm cheeks when excited. You might also see them reaching out for support when they need help managing big emotions.
Month 3
After a few months, many families notice fewer and shorter tantrums. As children learn to name their feelings and use calming strategies, they begin to pause before reacting and ask for help when they need it.
The Research Behind Team Supercrew
At Team Supercrew, every story, tool, and strategy is grounded in evidence-based research. Decades of studies show that helping kids understand and manage their emotions early in life supports long-term success: socially, academically, and even physically.
“As a toddler mom this was super helpful to teach my 3 year old how to deal with the big feelings he has sometimes.”
My kids absolutely love these books! Each story is packed with adventure and humour, but also teaches simple ways to handle tough emotions. I noticed my pre-schooler actually using the breathing and bravery tricks from the stories during daily challenges. It's such a creative way to teach emotional regulation without feeling like a lesson.
These books actually work. As a parent, I have read plenty of emotional learning titles that felt like fluffâ this set is different. Team Supercrew delivers fun, adventure, and real tools for handling anxiety, transitions, and tough moments. My kids ask for them nightly, and the messages stick ."I can't" turned into "I did it!" this week, and I owe it to Gen the Grit. The fact that these are rooted in CBT, but told through engaging stories? Genius. This isn't just storytime, it's emotional skill-building disguised as fun.
All of these books are fantastic! Not only will your child find them all relatable, they will thoroughly enjoy them! The books all have wonderful messages for your kids! The pictures are great too!
My kids love the Supercrew! Fabulous four box set about managing emotions like frustration and anxiety with CBT-inspired strategies. So glad they made a second set!
I absolutely love this box set! The CBT-inspired strategies are so simple and effective. It's not just a cute story; it gives my kid actual tools for big feelings.

All three of my grandkids, age 6, 4 and two love these books. We have book one through book 8. My two year-old grandson has somebody read him one of these books every night before he goes to bed. His favorite is Keisha, but he likes them all.
Team Supercrew is always around to help you I children with big emotions. They find the problem then they give childreno the powers to fix it. They gift them bravery, kindness, calmness & grit
This set does a great job combining storytelling with real emotional learning.
Each book focuses on a specific challenge like fear at night, trying new things, or handling transitions. The lessons are clear without feeling heavy or complicated, which is important for younger kids.
What I liked most is that the strategies are simple and repeatable. My child started recognizing the situations from the stories and applying the same ideas in real life.
The characters are fun and easy to connect with, and the stories are engaging enough that my child wants to read them again.
It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for books that go beyond just entertainment and actually help with emotional development. Hans Sonnenberg
Team Supercrew – Feelings to the Rescue – Four-book set (books 5 – 8): Social emotional learning for kids ages 2 – 8, CBT-inspired stories to overcome fears, build resilience, and mangage big feelings, by Julie Anne Penn. I loved the illustrations. An unusual artistic style that mesmerized us as we read. Very cute story to help kids conquer being frightened.
whenever we buy new kids books - we look for great illustrations - so the kids are engaged. Secondly a story with educational value - this series really ticks both of those! Very impressed = Thank you!

My 4 yo kept asking for benny tackling first day jitters or chloe working through bedtime battles haha ! The illustrations are colorful and the messages are great but I can also see why some parents say the characters and plots are pretty basic for the price point lol
These books were truly excellent to help children through difficult and traumatic events. The story and lessons were well drawn out and engaging for young readers. Brilliant accomplishment by the author. Thank you.
My kids enjoyed the bright illustrations, and the "I Can" statements to build their confidence. It’s teaches valuable social lessons as a story rather than a lesson.
I think this book is a great motivational toll for kids especially if they are learning to deal with their emotions. I like to read the books before o let my kiddo read them to see if they are appropriate and I am glad to share this with my kids. It supports kids with being comfortable expressing themselves. Great book!
This is an awesome set of books that introduces the emotions well for young kids. I especially love that it had tips for parents at the end of each book so we can work on skills in daily life. I did 4 stars only because I wish there was an option to pick what books from the collection that your family needs to focus on, though I do understand why it's sold this way!

This book set is wonderful for teaching kids how to manage emotions in a fun way. My child loved the superhero characters, and I loved how the stories opened up real conversations about bravery, kindness, and calm. A great tool for parents, teachers, and families alike.
This kid's book set was super illustration heavy, which is a great thing. Most are going to love this, and the fact that is helping them overcome fear, frustration, and uncertanty makes it a no brainer for parents loving it too! I love author's style and will definitely come back for more.
I got the Team Supercrew Feelings to the Rescue 4-book box set for my niece and nephew, and it has been such a big help. The stories are engaging, colorful, and easy for them to connect with, especially when they are struggling to express or manage big feelings.
Each book tackles an emotion or challenge in a way that feels fun rather than preachy, and I love how it subtly teaches emotional intelligence and resilience. The CBT-inspired approach really works; I've already noticed them talking more about their feelings and using the âSupercrewâ language to handle frustration and fear.
This is an excellent collection of these fun books. They are well made, with full-color illustrations and a lesson about essential character traits every kid needs to learn. Pick this one up today; you won't regret it.

Team Supercrew - Feelings to the Rescue is a 4-box set of children's stories written by Julie & Darren Penn and illustrated by Sergio De Giorgi. These books teach your child to examine the problem emotions and also shows you (as the adult) how to teach your child to cope with the lists of things to do at the end of each book. How does Team Supercrew help with tantrums and meltdowns?
Tantrums are a developmentally appropriate part of brain growth between ages 1 to 4. Team Supercrew helps children build emotional regulation skills, so tantrums and meltdowns become less frequent, less intense, and easier to recover from.
What changes can I expect to see in my child, and how soon?
Every child’s learning style and strengths are unique. However, with consistent exposure through reading, play, and conversation, parents can generally expect:
Within days: increased emotional vocabulary and the ability to recognize emotions in others.
Within weeks: greater awareness of their emotions and body signals, and a growing ability to ask for help when they need support.
Within months: fewer tantrums and more use of coping strategies as they learn to pause before reacting.
What’s the best way to use Team Supercrew at home?
Team Supercrew products support emotional growth in different, complementary ways.
Books: Read together during calm moments like bedtime or quiet playtime. Talk about the feelings and choices the characters make and connect them to your child’s day. Rereading helps kids remember emotion words and feel more comfortable expressing themselves.
Plush and Capes: After reading, let your child bring the stories to life through play. Acting out emotions helps them practice what they’ve learned and see that all feelings are okay. Play gives children a safe space to try calming and problem-solving skills.
SOS Kit: During big feelings, use the SOS Kit together. The cards and tools offer gentle guidance for calming strategies like breathing, movement, or sensory grounding. These moments teach children that emotions can be managed and that they’re not alone when things feel big.
Does Team Supercrew support children who are neurodivergent, including those with ADHD or autism?
Yes. Sensory needs are a big part of regulation for many neurodivergent children, including children with ADHD and children on the autism spectrum, so our SOS Kit includes 83 strategies that engage all five senses, plus high and low energy movement. Children choose what works for them.
Our books are built around modeling, where children learn by watching characters use the skills, which can be especially helpful for children who learn best through visuals and story.
Do you offer Team Supercrew for classrooms and home visiting programs?
Yes. Our Classroom Regulation Sets (ages 3 to 8) and Home Visiting Kits (ages 2 to 6) include lesson plans, educator guides, and training led by a licensed clinician. Visit our Educators page to learn more.
